Registered General Nurses (RGN’s) play a significant role in our client’s organisation. Their main duties and responsibilities include:
  • Motivating residents to help restore and improve their health and self-esteem
  • Providing medication to residents
  • Providing psychological and physical support to residents, family members and friends
  • Identifying resident’s care requirements
  • Assuring the quality of care to residents through adhering to therapeutic standards
  • Ensuring that residents and fellow employees adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medicine storage and administration procedures and substance control regulations
  • Evaluating residents who complain of specific ailments
  • Examining and authenticating vaccination records
You’ll need a minimum of 12 months of experience post qualification, with Neuro experience being an advantage but not essential.

All Registered General Nurses (RGN’s)will be expected to make sound clinical judgements whilst role modelling best practice and inspiring and mentoring junior staff to achieve their potential.

Our Clients Registered General Nurses (RGN’s) will have the opportunity to develop your own clinical skills and work closely with our in-house specialist therapy team to deliver the best outcomes for our residents.

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity, and to apply for the Registered General Nurses (RGN’s) positionyou must hold a current PIN number for a minimum of six months before expiry.

On 15th March 2022 it will no longer be a legal requirement for care home employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. However, we strongly advise all staff to meet their professional responsibilities and would prefer you to have received a full course of COVID vaccinations.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a registered nurse.
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency care.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible and compassionate.
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Patient with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • B.Sc or other diploma from a nursing program.
  • A valid nursing license.
