OxCare Recruitment are currently recruiting a Registered Children’s Home Manager for a 6 bedded Children’s Home in Bradford.

The Home Manager will be required to oversee the day to day running of the home, ensuring the home is safe and well-led.

The appointed Manager will need to ensure that the Home’s policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. You will liaise with Local Authorities, Schools and other professionals to ensure the young people’s needs are met.

You will work with the staff and young people to ensure the young people are involved in the decisions made with regards to their welfare.

The Manager is responsible for managing the staff team, including allocating key workers for each young person, staff 1-1’s, appraisals and dealing with any issues staff may have.

Person specific-
  • Hold a NVQ4 Residential Care or equivalent and/or Level 5 Management qualification is essential
  • Hold a valid UK driving license
  • Knowledge of Childcare legislation and Safeguarding
  • Understand needs of complex needs Children
  • Will have the ability to manage individuals with challenging behaviour.
  • A minimum of 2 years recent experience working with children in a residential care setting
  • A minimum of 1 year at senior level in a residential care setting.
The salary for this role is from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
