REGIONAL SUPPORT CHEF

Classic Lodges are recruiting for a Regional Support Chef, this is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed but dedicated and passionate team of chefs from around the hotel estate, building upon a successful and well-established food offer with a new start after 16 months of closure. We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking individual with a passion for food and service.

The prime function of this role is to move around the north giving advice to kitchens whilst being hands on to work in the hotel, to lead the operational food service including restaurant and events at any of hotels and to ensure high operating standards at all times.

To work alongside the General Managers to manage the daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staffing and aiding menu preparation.

Ensuring food quality and freshness is maintained through all production to the required specification.

Monitoring the ordering of stock and stock control to ensure the department operates at the required set levels.

Adhere to the company Food Safety Management System and Health & Safety Policy.

Provides excellent food quality and consistency

Provides training and mentoring to the chef de parties, commis chefs, and apprentice’s and kitchen assistants to ensure food quality and consistency of delivery as well as to contribute to the New Chefs Academy

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):

Formal Culinary Training

At least 3 years’ kitchen experience, preferably in a call-order/restaurant environment

Event/weddings production and service experience

Strong organisational skills

Good foundation of Health and Safety

Training to Level 3 Food Safety Management

Good management and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both the front of house teams and guests.

Good GP management skills and financial control

Self-motivated and focused on motivating the hotel Teams

Highly developed attention to detail

Flexible with the ability to work under pressure

Renumeration Package

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
