We now have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join ASCO Group as a Regional Sales Executive supporting our North Sea Lifting (NSL) and OBM businesses. NSL are global lifting and rigging specialists who have been providing technical expertise and training for over three decades, whilst OBM are a leading oil and gas recruitment company operating globally.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial & Business Management - UK and working closely with the General Manager NSL & OBM, this role is responsible for delivering a demonstrable increase in sales for OBM recruitment services and for increasing delegate numbers passing through the NSL training centre. Whilst some engagement with existing clients may be required, the primary focus of the role will be the development and management of a new sales pipeline in the Northern UK region.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Successful delivery of agreed revenue and margin targets.
  • Create a sales pipeline for the region and manage all entries to achieve a successful conclusion with a sale and positive client experience.
  • Develop potential leads into clear opportunities and grow the business within other sectors such as renewables, public sector and construction.
  • Promote the ASCO services across targeted UK industry sectors with innovative marketing and sound business development practices.
  • Deliver clear monthly reports detailing pipeline opportunities, conversion rates and sales secured.
  • Engage with all relevant internal parties such as technical, operational, commercial and finance to ensure clear and efficient lines of communication remain open.
  • Ensure all proposals are financially viable and approved/delivered within the ASCO’s Delegation of Authority framework.
  • Ensure all new clients are effectively evaluated in conjunction with finance and present an acceptable credit risk before trading commences.
  • Delivery of the agreed targets and objectives within the framework of ASCO’s core obsessions around safety, service delivery excellence and sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Education to National 5 level or equivalent

Desirable Qualification/Competencies

  • Experience and knowledge of sales in recruitment and/ortraining markets
  • Experience working with bespoke software applications
  • Experience working with sales software tools (HubSpot etc.)

  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to work stand-alone while a positive contributor to the wider team with strong attention to detail and excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Computer literate with operator knowledge across the Microsoft suite.
