GitHub is changing the way the world builds software. Our Enterprise Sales team assists our largest customers through their evaluation and buying process as well as helping to make sure GitHub is aligned with their strategic objectives once they are leveraging GitHub in production.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role within the Enterprise Sales team. We’re extremely passionate about customer success and the quality of our work. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude and passion to become a master of GitHub’s product capabilities, requirements of enterprise customers and be able to coach/lead their team towards meeting objectives.

We’re looking for a Regional Sales Director in North EMEA (UK & I, The Netherlands, Belgium, the Nordics). This role reports to the VP of Enterprise Sales, EMEA.

Responsibilities:
Helps to build/maintain a customer-first sales organization focused on a targeted region:
  • Lead sales process and organizational structure to ensure scalable, repeatable, profitable and responsiveness in customer interaction and sales process
  • Hire amazing talent, help to onboard them, train and maintain the team
  • Work with product marketing, sales, product management on customer needs



Drive Revenue Growth
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunity
  • Forecast opportunity, revenue and costs
  • Close business and on-board new customers



Enable Customer Success
  • Up-sell customer install base - expand usage of GitHub
  • Create innovative programs and campaigns taking into account local market conditions for the region to drive opportunity
  • Analyze the territory, build out a hiring plan and execute



Provide Leadership
  • Meet customers, partners, and lead Executive Briefings
  • Assist in recruitment and enablement of relevant channel partners per region
  • Visit customers and partners often to stay in touch with the market/field
  • Counsel sales team members to ensure success and drive individual growth
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership on all strategic initiatives including CEB Challenger framework rollout



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of Enterprise Sales experience
  • Previous enterprise software sales management experience
  • References that detail a strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40%.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling in the ALM or Software Development space
  • Working in a direct and indirect sales model
  • Selling cloud based as well as on-premises solutions
  • Selling subscription based licenses
  • Experience using salesforce.com for CRM
