Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military operations.
  • Experience managing large teams building and executing security operational programs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in unconventional and discrete security, law enforcement, military operations, and related security technologies and special applications.
  • International experience in corporate security and law enforcement operations.
  • Familiarity with conducting security audits and assessments in a variety of environments.
  • Understanding the challenges of operating in various different kinds of legal and cultural operating environments.
  • Proficiency in the use of common business software programs and familiarity with Google applications.
  • Detail-oriented with effective communication skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

About the job

You will manage an unconventional and discrete security operations program involving in-house and vendor operated specialist teams as well as other specialized programs on a regional scale across both EMEA and APAC regions.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Work with both internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the security and safety of Google.
  • Manage security operations programs involving in-house and vendor operated specialist teams as well as other specialized programs on a regional scale across EMEA and APAC.
  • Deputize the Global Operations Program Manager when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Security Operations teams participating in the security program as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
