Regional Manager
Fantastic opportunity for a Regional Manager to join a successful award-winning privately- owned Building Services Contractor, established over 40 years ago. The business has progressively grown and developed significantly over the years in providing full Mechanical & Electrical services installations to the building industry and directly to end users across the following Sectors : Education, Hotels, Offices, Care Homes, Refurbs, Science & Research. The turnover of the business is in excess of £45m
Job Purpose
Operate with integrity and to own the sales and delivery within the specified region. Whilst being responsible for the day to day running of the regional office, in collaboration with allocated project resource. Furthermore, safeguard the Company’s long-term strength and growth, whilst working smartly and caring for your team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales / Pre-Construction
• To ensure that regional bids are fully understood, commercially viable with risk and opportunities clearly defined at the earliest opportunity
• Build relationships with regional client team
• Play an active role in the transition between bid and to secure the project
• Lead the design phase to ensure that quality, philosophy and timescales are met
• Develop a project specific delivery strategy
• Establish local market sectors, clients, competition and staff
Operations
• Identify and engage with local supply chain
• To ensure the project is ready to commence in line with the intended start date
• Maintain an understanding of the project’s status along with the associated risk and opportunities
• Day to day running of the office and facilities (South East / Thames Valley only)
• Attendance at mandatory internal quality, health and safety meetings
• Monitor inspection visit reports from external auditors
• Monitor and ensure that the QA procedures are being completed
• To undertake senior management audits on each respective project, ensuring full compliance with all our Company policies / procedures
Commercial
• Ownership of continued order intake to meet the business direction plan
• Overall responsibility for the financial performance for the projects within the region
• Attendance at monthly financial review meetings
General
• Maintain appropriate business to business relationships and communication
• Play a pivotal role in the success of the business direction plan
• Support and promote the Company’s core values
• Develop people to achieve higher outcomes
• Share good practices within the Company
• Identify and implement innovation
• Undertake recruitment locally in line with business process
Salary & Benefits
• Salary £70,000-£75,000 plus Bonus
