Binnies is recruiting a Regional Delivery Manager to deliver FCERM projects to support a rapidly growing workload in the South West. The primary objectives of the role will be to oversee a portfolio of projects already in hand and secure further opportunities to work with Environment Agency. The clear priority is to successfully deliver high quality projects to time and budget. Responsibilities will include managing a delivery team drawn from professionals in Bradford-on-Avon and Exeter but also those that are adopting a hybrid style of working based at home or seconded to client offices.

The team consults, delivers and manages Critical Human Infrastructure projects in the Water and Flood Risk Management sector. The Regional Delivery Manager will be accountable for growing our Flood and Coastal risk management business in the South West supporting the Regional Delivery Director in providing collaborative long-term relationships with our clients and delivery partners and senior level assurance for the planning and execution of our portfolio of projects. The ability to travel to Client offices and project sites is essential.

The ability to think and act strategically and see the bigger picture will be essential to the successful candidate. This role will include providing strategic advice on flood resilience and adaptation in light of the sustainable and long-term solutions needed to address the climate and ecological emergency. This will require a good understanding of FCERM funding, wider infrastructure planning and a wide portfolio of flood risk management approaches, from nature-based and green solutions to more traditional engineering approaches.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads a portfolio of projects across the South West of England as Project Director or Project Manager with national assignments as required.
  • Works closely with the Flooding, Coastal and Maritime Leadership Team to support growth for Binnies through coordinated activities and helping secure new project wins.
  • Provides strategic advice on flood resilience and adaptation.
  • Has pastoral, commercial, and resource responsibility for delivery teams under their portfolio of projects.
  • Is recognised as a key internal reference point for specialist technical guidance through depth and breadth of knowledge in their area of specialism.
  • Has influence for scope of responsibilities within the Flood, Coastal and Maritime business line
  • Develops and sustains long term client relationships.

Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering technology or sciences preferred or any other degree, specialised training, or experience, that makes the individual qualified to perform the job responsibilities.
  • Holds an Industry recognised professional chartered qualification.
