Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Paisley, is currently looking to recruit a Recycling Awareness Officer for an initial 6 month contract with option to extend on a rate of £12.88/hour PAYE (7am to 6.35pm). This role is predominantly based in the office, home working may occasionally be appropriate.Responsibilities
  • Assist with the ongoing promotion of the clients recycling schemes, primarily through carrying out survey and monitoring work on recycling routes alongside collection crews.
  • Check bins for contamination alongside collection crews and use tags to communicate issues to the public.
  • Responsible for recording this information and providing basic reports.
  • Dealing with waste and recycling enquiries face to face, by email and telephone.
  • Use problem solving skills to identify suitable solutions to problems around household refuse and recycling collections.
Essential Skills
  • A full driving licence.
  • Good communication skills.
  • An interest in, and enthusiasm for, environmental policies and plans.
  • Effective IT skills.
  • The availability to be in Paisley for 7am starts, including over weekends and public holidays.
