If you have experience in recruiting within the construction industry and a passion for working with internal stakeholders, understanding their business and searching for diverse talent then we would very much like to hear from you. We currently have a resource demand in our International Technology business so Data Centre and/or European recruitment experience would be hugely advantageous but is not essential.

The role will be reporting to the recruitment lead for our construction delivery business which also includes our MEP self-delivery workstream. You will be working alongside the wider HR team contributing to achieving our redefine plans within our 2026 business strategy: Creating a truly diverse and inclusive workforce is at the top of our agenda.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with hiring managers to look at forecasting external recruitment needs and delivering resourcing plans. Carrying out full qualification briefs with hiring managers to understand the capability requirements of vacant roles and writing and posting adverts on the internal and external Mace websites and relevant job boards.

  • Working with the marketing team to create compelling strategies that attract diverse candidates through all sourcing methods such as advertising, social media, resume searching and identifying and attending career fairs where appropriate.

  • Screening and shortlisting CVs to share with hiring managers, driving diversity throughout the process, organising interviews and providing constructive feedback to candidates.

  • Ensuring that the placement of internal candidates onto available projects is given priority versus external hiring to minimise overhead cost.

You will also be responsible for generating referrals from existing employees by raising the profile of the employee referral scheme.

About you

You have previous recruitment experience in the construction industry and an appreciation for the technical requirements necessary to fulfil the roles. You can manage multiple recruitment campaigns and internal resource plans for a variety of projects at any one time. You have good digital system experience with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.

You have experience building and maintaining a network of candidates by developing "talent pools" and conducting effective market research and mapping. You have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and high attention to detail. You have knowledge of local employment legislation.
