Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting a Recruitment Assistant join the HR team based at Gloucestershire College.

Based primarily at the Gloucester campus, this is a busy and varied role where you will be supporting all recruitment and selection activities for permanent and temporary staffing requirements and the development of aflexible recruitment model to ensure business critical roles are filled quickly to meet business need.

The role will see you advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, liaising with line managers on the recruitment and selection process and supporting with HR projects. Although previous recruitment experience is not a requirement, we are looking for someone who is highly organised, personable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

As aRecruitment Assistant,you will:
  • Support recruitment and development activities by working in partnership with Hiring Managers across the College to ensure timely recruitment campaigns are achieved in line with service level agreements
  • Post job adverts to external and internal advertising boards/platforms ensuring recruitment practice is in line with the College’s employer brand.
  • Work flexibly in order to support effective recruitment administration
  • Ensure the quality of all posted advertisements and job descriptions, including checking spelling/grammar, relevance of content, and overall presentation

Skills and Experience:
  • Confident and experienced in the use of computer software, including word processing, spread sheets and databases (particularly Microsoft Excel)
  • Experience of working within a customer service environment
  • Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent Level 2 in English and Mathematics (or willingness to undertake)
  • Willingness to undertake Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding training
