We are creating a new internal system that is currently piloting for a handful of projects but if successful will be critical for the company and used on thousands. We are looking for a React Developer to join our development team at this early stage to help build the frontend technologies that are the heart of the project.

About the Opportunity

We are creating a new internal system that is currently piloting for a handful of projects but if successful will be critical for the company and used on thousands. We are looking for a React Developer to join our development team at this early stage to help build the frontend technologies that are the heart of the project.

The role involves:

  • Working with designers, analysts, data engineers, and data scientists to develop dynamic user interfaces using modern technologies
  • Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts across multiple browser and device environments
  • Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts
  • Monitoring and improving front-end performance
  • Writing high-quality, reusable code in compliance with appropriate standards and regulations

You will be a core member of the team working to build this critical system for Jacobs.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Knowledge of and experience using React and related tools, including React.js, Webpack, and Redux
  • Knowledge of and experience using charting software, including Highcharts, D3.js, and DHTMLX
  • Knowledge of and experience using performance testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha)
  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software
  • Practical knowledge of APIs and REST endpoints
  • Ability to coach and develop lesser experienced engineers
  • Ability to work well with others in multi-functional teams
  • Resilient and adaptable
