Your new firmYour new firm are a well known and established top 100 accountancy firm with multiple offices across the UK. They are a growing firm with a real reputation for good work in the North West. They are a general practice offering audit, accounts, VAT, tax, trusts, corporate finance and restricting services. A flexible firm with low staff turnover, they really looks after their people and focus on providing an excellent service for their clients. Due to increased work in the tax team they are now looking to bring in an R&D specialist.

Your new role

In your new role you will form a key part of a seasoned tax team which covers a range of tax services including VAT, corporate tax compliance & planning, personal tax compliance & planning, employment tax and R&D to name a few. In terms of clients you will be working with mainly SMEs supporting businesses owners in their ongoing tax affairs. Your main focus will be to help the firm deliver on a number of R&D tax credits, getting involved in a mixture of complex and challenging returns. You won’t be required to do any business development, with this role really focused around delivering the work rather than winning it.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

To be successful in this role you need to come from a good tax background, ideally have some form of qualification including ACA/ACCA/AT/CTA, however qualified by experience professionals will also be considered. You need to have strong knowledge of R&D tax credits and be able to create and submit. If you have other tax experience this would be desirable and you could also get involved in other tax work.
