Principle Function

To Manage and assist with the general day to day catering and events function, supporting the team in the delivery of events whether it be Race Days, Buffets, Weddings and more.

Service


  • Ensure that room set ups and break downs for all event types are carried out to the company standard
  • Provide delivery and leadership of small events
  • Provide supervisory support for large events
  • Deal with customers in a prompt and professional manner, dealing with any complaints effectively, or escalating those that you are unable to deal with at the time
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and appearance of all Front and Back of House catering facilities are maintained
  • Lead and supervise front of house service staff at events
  • Deliver staff briefings for events
  • Ensure that the business is proactively staffed, reducing staff working hours where reasonably able
  • Communicate effectively with all internal departments in a positive manner
  • Maximise all sales and profit opportunities through up selling and control of costs
  • Ensure the security of the premises, stock and cash, following the company cash handling procedures
  • Display high standards of personal presentation when working at Company venues
  • Ensure company H&S and Food Safety policy is maintained
  • Contribute to the success of Chester Racecourse by meeting the Company’s aims and objectives

Undertake any other reasonable task asked of you by the management team.
