About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved with;
  • Measuring works produced by Contracting operations and subcontractors.
  • Liaising with customer representatives, where necessary, to agree quantities of work carried out.
  • Ensuring that all work is recorded including additional items that may require additional payment,
  • liaising with members of the site team who will assist with this.
  • Submittig valuations and invoices in accordance with the contract and ensure that customers are given
  • every encouragement and ability to pay accounts in accordance with the contract.
  • Producing timely cost/value reports that monitor the financial progress of contracts or elements in conjunction with site managers and commercial staff place subcontracts that meet commercial and quality requirements.
  • Measuring and paying subcontractors and other suppliers as required in accordance with their terms
  • and conditions of contract.
  • Assisting and guiding junior staff and trainees in quantity surveying practice where appropriate.
What will you bring?
  • Be able to demonstrate experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Some experience working within Highways, Civil or Surfacing sector working with the NEC form of contract.
  • Be a strong collaborative team player.
  • Tenacious in approach, with ability to plan and organise and operate to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships, with a strong Customer focus.
  • Strong IT Skills.
