Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Quality Technician for a leading Manufacturing Client in the Llantrisant area.

Undertake all required tests on relevant samples in accordance with the Quality system and specifications.

Ensure that relevant traceability paperwork is available and correct.

Take decisions on relevant stock and entering information on the appropriate stock management system.

Communication on control results and decisions where necessary.

Administrative duties including timely completion and filing of records and management of the retainer stores.

Carrying out relevant preparation, titration, calibration and validation on reagents and/or equipment where appropriate.

Organising work to ensure customer priorities are met.

Recording of non-conformances and appropriate follow up and communication.

Maintaining high housekeeping standards and working to Good Laboratory Practices.

To support the Quality Department and Lab Manager in any other relevant quality tasks including but not limited to internal audits, training of new staff, preparation of procedures or assisting with investigations.

Qualifications, skills, experience and aptitudes.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software.

For Microbiology - Microbiology or Biology based degree.

Good standard of written Maths and English.

Good communication skill and attitude.

Understand and use of relevant testing equipment.

Team player.

Flexible and able to work outside of core hours to ensure business targets are met.

Competent and self motivated.

Other Skills/Abilities - Desirable

Awareness and experience of modern improvement tools and techniques.

Data handling/PC skills.

Able to work under pressure to achieve tight delivery schedules.

Relevant industry recognised Quality qualification.

Experience of working in a chemical, microbiological, biological or pharmaceutical laboratory.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday/37 hours a week on a rotating shift pattern.
