Manucomm are currently seeking a Quality Manager / Technical Manager / Product Excellence & Quality Manager for a successful manufacturing company based in Bridgwater. My client is involved in innovative fabric solutions and the ideal person will ideally have experience in food /drink, BRC audits as their clients include automotive, food and hygiene sectors.
The Quality Manager / Technical Manager / Product Excellence & Quality Lead role will be reporting to the Product Excellence Director and leading the Quality team responsible for ensuring quality compliance and delivering process improvement, through continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Degree, or equivalent in quality assurance, engineering or scientific discipline.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing or Quality Management principles
- ISO, BRC, FSSC, GFSI and controlled environmental standards.
- Lead Quality Auditor
- Experience in Food, medical or pharmaceutical sector
Quality / Technical manager Key responsibilities
- Deliver appropriate training that will improve the skills required of the Quality team in order to maintain the Company agreed standards.
- Responsible for auditing existing practises, proactively challenging and questioning to ensure compliance and improvements take place.
- Driving continuous improvements and defining corrective actions for non-conforming products and complaints.
- Actively drives quality system improvements using product audits, specification reviews and working closely with the commercial teams, Innovations, CI Champion and Operations teams to achieve the required quality standards and outputs.
- Leads projects and teams with minimum supervision and guidance e.g. costs saving initiatives.
- Responsible for the measuring and monitoring of manufacturing and quality performance against agreed KPI’s. Implement recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
This role offers:
Salary is circa £60-65k depending on experience, Monday to friday,. 25 Day holidays + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme
