Quality Manager

As a Quality Manager, you lead all aspects of the quality engineering and lab technician functions to drive proactive product optimization and risk reduction. In this position, you will drive the future state roadmap for lab transformation to ensure efficient testing efforts with sophisticated testing and predictive quality methods.

Ke y Re spons ibilities

  • Help coordinate the delivery of quality products safely, on time, efficiently, and within PPG guidelines/standards.
  • Lead efforts focused on and in support of product optimization, process development, and test optimization to ensure valuable efforts
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the orderly and timely flow of production.
  • Allocate work to your team which consists of 2 x Quality, 3 x Lab and 1 x process engineer
  • Leading the quality team in the recording of data for agreed quality plant metrics and in the processes required to meet the targets agreed.
  • Identifying issues and co-ordinate problem solving activities, to ensure that the product meets recognised and documented quality standards.
  • Liaising with other departments within the plant to improve the production quality process; including logistics, production and maintenance.
  • Overall responsibility for skills training for employees which will also include coaching and developing Team Leaders and Supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance to quality certifications and customer audit expectations is met
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven experience in both quality and manufacturing.
  • LSS Green Belt (or higher) certified(Desirable)
  • Strong understanding of ISO and IATF systems(Desirable)
  • Ability to create and implement initiatives to drive performance improvement and provide examples of tangible results.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis & implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Be competent with Microsoft office programs in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
