CNC machines are responsible for producing more than $120BN worth of metal components every year, serving every manufacturing vertical from motorsport parts in Formula 1 to satellites in space. Despite this, the software used to control these CNC machines are stuck in the dark ages. It can require hours (sometimes days) of manual instruction by a skilled programmer before a component can be produced.

What you will be doing…

We are looking for a Quality Inspector with CMM Operator skills on a permanent basis with experience of machined parts. Your main duties will be assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Quality inspection team using CMM and Absolute 85 ARM with PC-DMIS, General Inspection skills, very good understanding of Engineering drawings with good GD&T knowledge, ISO9100D standard across Aerospace,Automotive, Energy, Defence and Medical sectors. We are looking for two people - Night Shift Quality Inspector and a Sub contract Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following attributes:

• 2 years’ experience or more in a similar Quality Inspector position.
• Knowledge of Quality Inspection techniques including CMM and Absolute ARM Inspection,
• Able to communicate with Quality and Quality Engineering teams.
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Have previous experience working in a similar machined parts manufacturer.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Able to use PC-DMIS software with CMM and Absolute ARM.

The Quality Inspector role will involve:

• Assisting the Quality Management team with Inspection and reporting duties.
• Using various gauging and measurement instruments to ensure products are manufactured correctly.
• Maintain and upkeep the inspection documentation for the manufacturing department.
• Using CMM inspection of various machined parts using PC-DMIS and Absolute ARM inspection
• Take ownership of inspection activities throughout production.
