CMM Quality Inspector

We are an established CNC engineering company based in Waterlooville, looking to recruit an experienced CMM Quality Inspector. You will be responsible for the inspection of machined parts and be required to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and standards to carry out accurate and timely dimensional checks. Experience of working in a sub contract background would be useful along with a good knowledge of turned and milled parts.

Experience Required

  • Experienced in programming and operating a CMM
  • Experienced in using Aberlink CMM software is advantageous but support can be given if candidates have used other CMM programming software
  • First off & final inspection of precision machined parts against engineering drawings
  • Good knowledge of various CNC machining processes
  • Experienced in using various measuring equipment and gauges
  • Fully conversant in reading engineering drawings
  • Close eye for detail along with good mathematical , written & verbal communication skills
  • Conversant with working with ISO9001/AS9100 standards
  • Experienced in final inspection or a similar role (minimum of 2 years’ experience)
  • A positive approach and be able to work as a team and independently.

Benefits

Permanent position

Hourly rate: £12-£14 per hour (dependent on experience ) plus overtime (subject to requirements)

40 hrs per week Monday- Friday, working hours 8am - 4.30pm
