Job DescriptionQuality Improvement Officer - PKC09402£61,185 - £68,2712 High Street, PerthThe Quality Improvement Officer (QIO) will assist the Service Manager Inclusion and Additional Support in leading, managing and assuring the quality and improvement of specialist and intensive education provision and the delivery of inclusive practice within schools in Perth and Kinross.You will contribute to the Inclusion Transformation Programme and lead aspects of improvement relating to ASL legislation, Child’s Planning, assessment and transition.As QIO you will support established and bespoke arrangements for children and young people with Additional Support Needs to enhance their learning and meet legislative requirements.You will liaise with other relevant managers and officers at both strategic and operational level to ensure an integrated approach in line with GIRFEC.You will represent the authority, and forge links with, the range of national and local information, advisory and voluntary / support organisations to ensure relevant policy development and support provision.The IndividualYou will hold or be eligible for full GTCS registration and have recent extensive experience of supporting children or young people with additional support needs in an education setting.You will have a passion for delivering improved outcomes for children and young people with additional support needs and have a commitment to equality and social justice.You will be an experienced inclusive education practitioner with a range of experience of delivery in schools.You will be a skilled communicator and have experience of staff development and training, and building capacity in a school setting.You will have knowledge and understanding of Curriculum for Excellence and current education priorities; and have knowledge and understanding of the ASL Act and related legislation and policy.If you would like any more information regarding this vacancy, please contact Fiona Mackay, Service Manager - Inclusion and Additional Support via email at FMacKay@pkc.gov.ukWhen completing your application for this post, please ensure that you provide contact details (including e-mail addresses) for two referees.
