Our client is leading in their field and are looking for an experienced QHSE Manager with previous experience working in a similar role within manufacturing, construction or engineering fields.

The QHSE Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the organisation’s quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental management programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in QHSE practices, regulations, and standards, along with excellent leadership and communication skills

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop our QMS (ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) making it accurate, accessible and a tool to support the business
  • To implement and maintain any other relevant accreditations
  • Oversight of Customer Product Quality Questionnaires & Inspection Test Plans
  • Oversight of calibrated equipment maintenance
  • Inducting new staff to the quality system & promoting the quality policy
  • Drive the use of data collection & root cause analysis to produce information leading to improvements in operational processes
  • Identify, or deliver, training and coaching to employees across the organisation
  • Develop and imbed visual management systems
  • Improve customer satisfaction particularly with respect to delivery, quality & cost
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organisation’s QHSE management systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring that root causes are identified, corrective actions are taken.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to delivery and customer support
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE regulations and internal standards and address any non-compliance issues
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices, and ensure that the organisation remains in compliance with these requirements
  • Analyse QHSE data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and generate management reports
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers, and auditors, to ensure effective communication and alignment on QHSE matters

Skills And Experience

  • Experience of electro-mechanical production and / or construction environments
  • Experience of managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring and training
  • Ability to drive change in the face of resistance
  • Analytical thinker, great problem solver
  • Evidence based & creative approach
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office - Excel in particular
  • ISO audit experience would be desirable
  • NEBOSH qualified
