This role is based at Turntide’s Avid Cramlington manufacturing location.
The Role
The Quality Manager will support the development and maintenance of the Company’s QHSE Management Programmes and Systems. Oversee the effective implementation of the Integrated Management System to relevant International Standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
Support process owners with the creation, review, and publishing of controlled documentation such as procedures, work instructions, and forms and support process owners with the creation, review, and publishing of controlled documentation such as procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business and within the Supply Chain.
- Host external audits by Customers and Certification Bodies.
- Assist with first off sample approvals, review and approval of Supplier PPAP documentation, compilation of PPAP documentation, including the submission to Customers.
- Manage the Warranty Returns process from receipt of parts to disposition.
- Facilitate root cause analysis using 8D methodology to resolve problems with systems and products.
- Lead the approval process of Suppliers onto the Approved Supplier List.
- Monitor and report the performance of Key suppliers and co-ordinate improvement action plans as required.
- Assist with training of quality awareness.
Personal Specification
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- HNC in a manufacturing / engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a Quality-related role.
- Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing skills
- Strong knowledge of using MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949: 2015 & ISO 14001:2015
