Position Summary:

Provide support to the Quality Manager and Technical (Senior) Quality Engineer. This position is responsible for managing the internal rework process, provides quality support to production and the validation, NCR, and complaints processes.

Responsibilities:

  • To manage the internal rework process to ensure all rework is identified, controlled and executed in a timely manner.
  • Produce monthly rework KPI reports
  • To assist in the identification of non-conforming product and work to identify and implement corrective actions to address the cause of the non-conformance.
  • Assist if required the Shift Quality Coordinator in carrying out their tasks.
  • To assist in the training of production operatives in quality procedures and processes.
  • Assist the Senior Quality Engineer and the Engineering team to ensure all validations are carried out to the required standard.
  • Support the Senior Quality Engineer in the management of the internal NCR/CAPA process.
  • To conduct product and process trials and validations as required
  • Carry out route cause analysis on internal/external issues as required.
  • Lead or facilitate RCA and CAPA projects as required
  • Support the department in ensuring adherence to procedures/processes
  • Review and amend QMS documentation e.g procedures, MQS, FPTDS, route card as required.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • In possession of a formal Quality qualification such as the CQI Certificate in Quality or Higher Certificate in Quality.
  • Good standard of education with excellent numerical and writing skills.
  • Previous experience in blow/injection moulding and/or extrusion.
  • Able to produce and deliver presentations and training to all levels within the business.
  • Previous experience in a quality role in the medical device, IVD or pharmaceutical sectors would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communicator, able to communicate with all levels of the business.
  • Confidence to make decisions.
  • Ability to self-manage time and workload.
  • Fully conversant in Microsoft Word and Excel.
