JOB- Quality Engineer

LOCATION-Whitchurch, Hampshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum plus benefits (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Whitchurch, Hampshire area with experience in the Engineering / Manufacturing Industry. Your main duty will be to assist the Quality Engineering Team in the day-to-day quality duties and manufacturing activities as well as assisting with quality issues.

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualified in Engineering ideally (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) OR Qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience working as Quality Engineer within engineering / manufacturing
  • Skills in Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, APQP or similar quality tools.
  • Have previous experience of working with either ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9100 or ISO13485 QMS
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Exposure to handling customer complaints
  • Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
  • Experience of Electronics manufacturing – very beneficial but not needed

The QualityEngineer role will involve:

  • Overseeing Quality Control issues within manufacturing.
  • Engaging in corrective actions to improve quality of product.
  • Getting involved in PPAP, APQP and similar activities.
  • Liaising with other members of manufacturing to ensure quality of product throughout the business.
  • Speaking with customers and dealing with customer complaints.
