Job Description

The Quality Director will be responsible as part of the Site Leadership Team for determining Quality strategy to meet company, site, customer and regulatory requirements to support a successful pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role will be responsible for a large team of QA/QC and regulatory staff covering regulatory compliance, including FDA/MHRA, Audits, Batch disposition and quality control operations. You will lead the coaching, mentoring and training of all staff to ensure they are motivated and equipped to perform to the highest standard. You will perform batch releases and ensure that all relevant testing is performed in line with compliance requirements and meet manufacturing needs. Additionally you may be required to support and advise the global business on quality matters.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of Quality Leadership within a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology manufacturing company. You will degree qualified in a scientific discipline, ideally to a masters/PhD level. Ideally you will be a Qualified Person (QP). You will be an advocate of working with manufacturing collaboratively to ensure quality standards are met, facilitating customer needs. You will have a track record of leading a team and have developed and coached staff previously.
