Marlow Ropes are recruiting a Quality, Testing & Data Management Technician, based in our new offices in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality systems and working practices throughout the Company comply with ISO9001 & ISO14001requirements as well undertaking testing and management of technical and production data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintain and develop the Company Quality and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring adherence to them via internal audits.
  • Work with other departments to help ensure compliance to Quality and Environmental Management Systems, advising, training and enforcing as required, helping to foster a culture of “Continuous Improvement”.
  • Manage the Company’s customer returns and complaints system. Checking returned products and ensuring corrective action has been taken to meet customer expectations and Company procedures.
  • Ensure key materials received at goods inwards comply with the requirements of the purchase order through evaluation, inspection or testing - releasing or quarantining as neccesaary.
  • Manage the supplier monitoring system to monitor and feedback supplier performance to ensure that all suppliers meet and maintain the required levels of service and quality.
  • Add and maintain data within the ERP system for the Technical & Manufacturing Departments including; Item Numbers, Bills of Material, Manufacturing Routings etc.
  • Carry out product testing as required, either random WIP and finished product testing or as directed by the Technical Manager for development projects
  • Maintain test area to highest standard of housekeeping and ensure correct calibration of all test equipment.
  • Prepare monthly report including analysis of complaints, returns, waste & recycling.

Attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum A-Level or equivalent (BTEC, NVQ 3 or 4).
  • 2+ years of proven experience in Quality and/or Technical role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail.
  • An enquiring mind - allways lookinf for improvements
