Role

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, we are looking for a Quality Coordinator to join our team in Poole. Working closely with the Compliance Manager you will assist with the Client, Sub-contractors and Site Team on all matters concerning quality.

You will assist the Compliance Manager to ensure company Quality policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to (sub-contractors onsite and offsite).

You will review Project Specifications gaining a clear understanding of client’s requirements. This

shall include: –

➢ Assist in the formulation of offsite Inspection & Test Plans (Sub-contract Fabrication, Painting, Galvanizing).

➢ Assist in the formulation of onsite Inspection & Test Plans (related to sub-contract packages).

➢ Identification of project risks in relation to Quality.

You will ensure subcontractors and suppliers have the relevant specifications and ITPS and that any revised specifications and ITPs are formally distributed to all sub-contractors and suppliers.

You will ensure that protective coating inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds, visual and dimensional inspections are being carried out by our supply chain, in accordance with the contract ITP requirements and that all O&M documentation is being processed for submission.

Assist the Compliance Manager to fulfil the role of Responsible Welding Coordinator.

Applicant

Ideally you will have a steelwork background although experience from an engineering / manufacturing industry would be considered.

Work experience in weld inspection and paint inspection is essential, coupled with a knowledge of National Structural Steelwork Specification (NSSS) 7th Edition and BS EN 1090 Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures.

You will have the ability to read detail drawings and understand the industry welding standards.

Excellent communication skills, both written/oral are essential, as are strong PC skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CSWIP 3.0/3.1 visual weld inspection.
  • ICORR level 1 and 2 or NACE level 1 or 2.
  • Responsible Welding Coordinator
