Here at Avantor, we are looking for a Quality Controller to support the quality checking process for our production site in Basingstoke.On site at Basan, we manufacture a broad catalogue of cleaning products and equipment for use in cleanroom environments. Our main customer base include big pharmaceutical companies and R&D laboratories.
Your role is essential in ensuring that all of the products that are consumed and assembled on site conform to health & safety and quality standards, as well as the Good Documentation Practice
Working hours: Monday-Friday - 09:00-17:00
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Undertake physical goods inspection of raw materials at point of receipt to ensure they are compliant and fit for purpose
- Full regular assessments of product production and packing process to ensure consistency and conformity to associated SOP’s
- Sample checks of finished batches in line with SQL techniques
- Undertake internal audits of Quality processes, predominantly at the Basingstoke site, but you may be required to travel to other sites to support the wider QC team
- Sign off on Certificates of Conformity, along with batch sign off/release of goods, ensuring alignment to GDocP
- At least 1-2 years experience of Quality Control, including record keeping and batch traceability
- Working knowledge and understanding/experience of a quality management system (ISO 9001, ISO13485)
- Cleanroom operational knowledge is desirable but full training will be given
- Experience within a GMP environment would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
This is a mixed role between an office and operational environment.It will require you to enter a warehouse environment and will involve some manual handling of boxes where you will be required to wear specific protective clothing.
This role will also involve you entering a cleanroom environment, where full protective clothing (PPE) will be provided.You will undertake a full training program of cleanroom operations and entry/exit protocols.
