Day To Day Duties Will IncludeWe currently have a fantastic opportunity for a QHSE Manager to join our client based on the outskirts of Stoke on Trent. The main purpose of this role is to lead the safe management of QHSE.
  • Assist the Managing Director in the commitment to continual improvement within the business and to achieve business objectives and targets.
  • To assist the Managing Director in the commitment to developing a positive safety culture
  • To assist the Managing Director in the commitment to developing a positive environmental management culture.
  • Co-ordinate development of the QMS in line with business objectives and ISO requirements
  • To provide advice on a commercially viable approach to compliance with customer, statutory and regulatory Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • To ensure the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the QMS.
  • Nurture an understanding of QMS requirements throughout the workforce and promote compliance with the systems
  • To undertake risk assessments of all activities and develop safe systems of work as a result of assessments
  • To develop procedures and work instructions to improve levels of Environmental, sustainability awareness, Health & Safety at Work. Improve environmental performance and encourage compliance from the workforce.
  • Undertake regular monitoring of work practices to ensure compliance with QHSE requirements
  • To maintain records of accidents & incidents and carry out investigations where necessary
  • To implement and maintain an effective audit process, to assist in minimising risks, environmental hazards and QMS deficiencies
  • To identify areas of the business requiring improvement and report recommendations to senior management via the Management Review process.
  • To assist in identifying and arranging Health and Safety Training
It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of working within the civil engineering /construction industry, hold NEBOSH Certification and have strong quality management knowledge.
