Hobson Prior are looking for a QA Officer to join an excellent biotechnology company based in Leeds on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for supporting, managing and promoting the Quality Management System with the business.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support change control and new product development by providing expertise to ensure that quality requirements are achieved.
  • Reviewing supplier qualification documentation as part of the supplier evaluation and monitoring process.
  • Reporting to the Head of Quality and Regulatory on the effectiveness of the quality management system and any need for improvement, including preparing and circulating the monthly quality progress report, supporting to create quality data and trends required of Management Review/Management updates and general meetings.
  • Supporting the management of the internal and external audit program including implementation of corrective actions.
  • Supporting calibration and maintenance equipment activities.
  • Manage the co-ordination and investigation of non-conformance as part of the non- conformity and CAPA system, including implementations of corrective and preventive actions.
  • You will be accountable to support the management of the electronic quality management software system, including the management of quality management system documentation.
  • Managing quality records to prevent damage or deterioration and provide ease of access.
  • Manage customer complaints as part of the non-conformity and CAPA process.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Requires a life sciences degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years Quality Management experience within the IVD and Medical device industries. Applications from related sectors (medical device, pharma, food or medical suppliers) industries would be considered.
  • A demonstratable strong working knowledge and experience of applying ISO13485 or similar standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, professionalism, care, accuracy and reliability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
