Who?

Twilio’s IoT/Wireless Team is looking for a QA Lead who has the passion to contribute in enhancing the quality of our solutions and supports the products roadmap by driving technological decisions that will enhance and streamline the quality of our deliveries.

You will be responsible for some or all of the following:
  • Understand deeply the product implementations, the requirements world and the relevant market in which we operate.
  • Aligning test architecture to the long-term direction of the business and develop a test architectural roadmap to support the product roadmaps
  • Architecting, developing and driving automation tools and frameworks to be used across all engineering functions in relation to quality, functional, performance, scalability and other testing goals
  • Providing technical test clarity to development teams, supporting them with implementation and hand over of unfamiliar testing solutions and test technologies
  • Creating and Implementing Automation Test Roadmaps based on overall business needs and identifying any cross-cutting concerns to help unify our test approach across the BU.
  • Ability to analyse external vendors and third-party providers to assess and recommend appropriate test tools and infrastructure components
  • Be a Subject matter expert on quality assurance, design and implementation of an overall test automation strategy working with Hardware/Embedded/Cloud teams

What?

As a QA Lead for IoT&Wireless, you will support our product roadmap by influencing technological decisions that will enhance and strengthen the quality of our delivery. You will provide technical guidance for all aspects of testing, progressing and innovating the design and development of our test architecture, including all test automation frameworks. You will have knowledge of a broad range of test activities such as test automation, test data management, environment design, and test management strategies.

In This Role, You Will Be Expected To
  • BE AN OWNER: You will create and own an environment where QA can be included in every stage of the development cycle of our multiple products.
  • DON’T SETTLE: You will be persistently looking out for improving QA work procedures, guidelines, strategies and the working environment for the team.
  • EMPOWER OTHERS: You will be spending the majority of your time infusing your QA expertise and know-how in the team through collaboration and whiteboarding sessions thereby building up that quality mindset into everybody’s DNA.
  • DRAW THE OWL: You will be closely working with our Quality champions & Tech Leads to set up best practices for the areas of ownership. You will work in concert with dedicated embedded/hardware engineers to review and validate our automated integration/cluster/system tests. You will also collaborate with the Cloud team to develop end-to-end system tests that simulate real-world customer use cases.
