We are currently seeking QA Inspector to play a key role at our Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes and Onions site in Westry, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a conscientious and autonomous Quality Assurance Inspector to join the team.

The ideal candidate will be both a natural communicator and a logical problem solver; with a high level of accuracy to ensure the product delivered meets all Food Safety, Legality & Quality requirements and consistently supplied to Asda at all times.

A strong team player to support their own and the wider teams with the ability to multitask when required.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – 5.30am to 6pm

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Complete Product inspections to ensure Product & Packaging is in line with Food Safety, Legality & our customer specification
  • Complete a full quality assurance inspection of materials & products arriving on site
  • Completion of accurate checks & QA reports without impacting the operation
  • Fast Track positive release of products to Depot
  • Interact with the site operations to ensure compliance is being maintained at all times
  • Daily Due Diligence checks completion to maintain compliance of BRC requirements

Skills And Experience Required
  • Previous experience working in a factory environment (preferably in a fresh produce environment)
  • QA experience
  • Desired experience & knowledge of working with HACCP, BRC and Red Tractor requirements
  • Educated to GCSE level A,B or C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Adequate IT Skills, have the ability to utilise Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • A desire to develop and grow beyond this role
  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
  • Self-disciplined good workload and time management skills.
