The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to work as a QA Engineer for our client, you will carry out a wide range of tasks, including continuously exhausting their software products to ensure that the end results meet the business and user requirements, whilst adhering to set timelines. You will perform the full QA lifecycle enabling you to identify faults and raise bug reports. This will include devising and executing test plans and building test systems. You will review release note documentation and assist in reviewing vital user guidelines and product descriptions.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that the overall quality meets the product managers and end users expectations.

Work with the product manager and software developers to help draw up test plans / test cases, for the end-to-end workflow.

Implement and execute the test plans.

Work with the development teams to help resolve issues.

Work with the existing QA team to release software products.

Methodically produce the steps which exhibit bugs in the product and be able to reproduce and communicate these steps.

Show initiative in gaining in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to the testing of company products.

Understanding of hardware and software interactions and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues.

Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Based in Poole, Dorset, salary will be circa 30k plus benefits.

Your Skills And Experience

At least 2+ years pervious experience within a Test Engineering position.

Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PHP and bash).

Working knowledge of Linux.

Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and cloud operations.

Experience with virtualisation technologies, in particular VMWare.

Excellent communication skills internally and externally.

Experience with the implementation and/or operations of medium to large-scale enterprise cloud infrastructures.

Experience of testing web-based applications on Windows and Mac OS X.

A good understanding of data security and privacy concerns desirable along with experience in Jira and Confluence.

Ability to automate testing preferably using Python as the language is also preferable.
