PURCHASING & MATERIALS PLANNING TEAM LEADER

An Unusual opportunity had arisen for a PURCHASING & MATERIALS PLANNING TEAM LEADER, to join a long- established manufacturing organisation in the Macclesfield area.

This is an exceptional opportunity, within a large, well known manufacturing organisation, who supply into a wide range of manufacturing companies.

As the PURCHASING & MATERIALS PLANNING TEAM LEADER, you would be joining a Company who unusually enjoy long- term serving staff. It’s not unusual to find staff who have worked here for 35 years plus!

You will be given the responsibility, as the PURCHASING & MATERIALS PLANNING TEAM LEADER, for the coordination and management of the procurement and the production pla ing process.

DUTIES OF THE PURCHASING & MATERIALS PLANNING TEAM LEADER
  • Coordinate and management of the procurement and the production pla ing process
  • Accountability for the procurement process (orders and expedites)
  • Problem solving relating to late shipments, material shortages and cancellations
  • Inventory control
  • Investigation and resolution of cycle count results
  • Manage Supplier collections and deliveries
  • Resolution of supplier non-conformity reports
  • Support New Product Introductions
  • Creations and Maintenance of MRP parameters to ensure part numbers are created and clearly defined
  • Provide product availability
  • Pla ing of the extrusion lines, including customer demand, stock build trials and maintenance requirements
REQUIREMENT OF THE PURCHASING & MATERIALS PLANNING TEAM LEADER
  • Experience gained from a fast short-lead time environment
  • Relevant experience within procurement, Stock Control, Warehousing, Production pla ing and Despatch
  • Good knowledge of MRP logic, scheduling logic, capacity pla ing and routings
  • Strong attention to detail - ensure part numbers are correct
