The Position Purchasing Manager / Buying Manager (PremiumHospitality Retail Sector)

The role will be working with both external and internal suppliers.

Supervise the operational areas in relation to purchasing and management of goods.

You will play essential part in meeting or exceeding financial plans, through establishing standards monitoring cost control measures.

Principal Accountabilities

Display a professional image in all forms of communication and interaction with the staff and other departments.

Product scouting and purchasing.

Logistics and stock management.

Ensure that all purchasing is carried out following due diligence in line with company procedure.

Responsible for the correct and efficient use of technology.

In flow and out flow controller

Leadership & Teamwork

Supervise in-house weekly or monthly stock take to ensure all areas of the business are operating efficiently, cost-effectively.

Develop & maintain excellent relationship with new & existing suppliers.

Train sales team.

Be the main point of contact between all departments.

Product & Quality

Ensure the goods purchased are matching the standards required.

Ensure deliveries are received at the most efficient time and manner, ensure all invoices to goods are checked, approved to delivery and quantities are weighed or counted and match the delivery sheet and order sheet.

Ensure goods purchased and suppliers adhere to the company’s sustainability ethos.

Ensure personnel are ordering the correct items from the correct suppliers.

Ensure the correct level of stock is maintained
