An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of meticulous, articulate Purchasing Assistant working with our Purchasing Manager for our market leading Corporate/Promotional Clothing Company.

Our warehouse stocks more than 8,300 product lines, available for 24/48hr delivery to our customers across the UK and Europe. We source the best products for the industry from around the world and are seeking a passionate motivated individuals to help support our operations team in delivering the best products to the market and the best service to our customers within our market.

The position will be office based, we use a local logistics warehouse near to our office, that serves the whole of the UK and Europe, we import from various manufacturing countries via full containers, and we ship to our customers on a daily basis.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities for the Stock/Logistics Controller role:

  • Maintaining and Controlling the Company Stock as set by the peramiters for each individual SKU following the Purchasing Managers reviews.
  • Maintaining accurate stock demand levels.
  • Inventory invoice posting to maintain accurate payments.
  • Liasing with the Purchasing Manager to maintain accurate forecast figures in order to place Purchase Orders (PO) with our individual factories.
  • Responsible for the placement of PO with allocated suppliers.
  • Liasing with the freight forwarder on delivery schedules
  • Liason with the suppliers ensuring on time shipments
  • Analysis data to ensure that the stock availability level is above the acceptable level
  • Analysis Sell Through data on a monthly basis with the Purchasing Manager to ensure that accurate information is being used to control the stock availability and to ensure forward promotions can take place due to available stock levels
  • Ensure that stock levels are accurate, and that the information available is correct to give to our customers.
  • Purchase order tracking.

We’re looking for candidates with the following attributes:

  • Self-motivated, Strong communicator
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, strong knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skill
  • Previous experience of stock management, multi-SKU’s desirable.
  • Preferred experience of Windows “Navision” software desirable.
