R. Yates & Sons is a busy Country store based in the centre of Malton. Established in 1845, it is a small, family owned business retailing a broad range of products from DIY, Garden Centre, through to Washing Machines and White Goods and Country Clothing and Footwear.

We now have an opening for a Purchase Ledger/Payroll officer to assist our Company Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and self motivated individual to work in a small, family friendly business. The ideal candidate will be experienced , professional, methodical and accurate in all areas of their work. They are likely to have strong IT skills and be AAT trained or working towards these qualifications, or qualified through experience.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Inputting purchase invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger

Bacs Payment runs and Bank reconciliation

Completing monthly supplier statements

Processing expenses

Processing the weekly payroll using Sage Payroll

Maintaining and updating Payroll processing systems and records

Processing and calculating holiday payments and PAYE

Dealing with internal and external queries

Maintaining the Company website, loading new product ranges, images & description

All aspects of the Company’s social media

Supporting the Company Accountant, as required

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £19,500.00-£22,500.00 per year
