Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 + Benefits

We are working with a Manchester based client to appoint a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Finance / Purchase Ledger Team. Reporting to the Head of Property Finance you, as the Purchase Ledger Clerk, would be responsible for ensuring accurate, right first time processing of supplier invoices and maintaining a smooth and efficient approval process.

Daily duties of the Purchase Ledger Clerk include:

  • Ensuring accurate and right first time approach to coding through the maintenance of property notes and noting what the invoice is for and whether client is responsible
  • Manage the invoice approval process efficiently and accurately
  • Reconcile logged invoices on Fridays to each approver and ensure weekly turnaround chasing PRM’s/others
  • Post purchase invoices promptly to the ledgers with the right expense codes
  • Manage supplier payments efficiently and accurately ensuring client account never goes overdrawn
  • Ensure the tidiness and accuracy of supplier accounts by reconciling ledgers to statements
  • Maintain an electronic file of invoices in query
  • Reconcile the utilities invoices on the weekly logged invoices report back to the unapproved or in query electronic folders
  • Handle correspondence effectively ensuring all client correspondence is in utilities or services file
