Situated in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, The Claremont is looking for a highly motivated General Manager to join and lead our team in our trendy venue, serving both food and drink.

The Claremont opened three years ago and has become one of the most popular desitinations in Tunbridge Wells with the ability to host over 250 people in our inside and outside spaces. Friday and Saturday nights are extremely busy with our outside space being particularly popular and, if successful, you will be repsonsible for growing the venue even further.

The successful candiate will need to be a good leader and able to ensure the smooth running of the business whilst maintaining high standards. You will be responsible for managing and motivating a young team with a hands on approach so positivity and good management skills are required and you will need to have a real strength in individual and team development and motivation.

As well as the day to day running of the business you will need to have a good financial understanding and know how to operationally take ownership of different aspects of the business.

The general manager must be passionate about great customer service and have a drive for events and booking management.

Experience required - at least two years high volume hospitality experience, kitchen experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Achieve and maintain relevant cost of sale targets.
