Join Iceland Manufacturing Ltd

Based at our site in Gorton, Manchester, we manufacture frozen products for Iceland stores. This is a great opportunity for new members of the Warehouse team to join us at an exciting time of growth within Iceland’s food manufacturing site.

We’ve had to adapt to new ways of working to ensure we are protecting our teams in the current climate, but we’re busier than ever, growing our product range and want to ensure all our operational functions are ready to proactively contribute to the site’s growth.


Role Details

Role: Warehouse Operatives

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday on either the AM Shift (6am -2pm) or PM Shift (2 -10pm), or Sunday to Thursday on the Night Shift (10pm – 6am)

Salary: £10.66 per hour for AM/PM Shift, £12.79 per hour for the Night Shift

Contract: Permanent


Job Description

Led by our Warehouse management team, you will work alongside a small, fast-paced team where working safely is key. Responsibilities will include:

  • Safely loading and unloading vehicles
  • Scanning finished product pallets
  • Carrying out daily physical inventory checks
  • Booking in deliveries and putting deliveries away correctly, also completing incoming and outgoing delivery notes
  • Rotating stock at all times
  • Completing production order picking lists, identifying and speaking up where there may be product shortages
  • Accurately reporting on information such as materials, wastage, health and safety, quality and good manufacturing practice (GMP)

Skills & Experience

  • Great communicator
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive team player who works well with others

Desirable:

  • Warehouse experience in food manufacturing
  • Counterbalance and/or FLT licence
