Tutor Area Manager – Art and Design and Media and Performing Arts

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Tutor Area Manager to lead and co-ordinate tutoring within the faculties of Art & Design and Media and Performing Arts.

Successful applicants should have experience of working with learners from different educational backgrounds and must be committed to outstanding teaching and learning and hold qualified teacher status. Successful candidates should be passionate about the impact that tutoring can have on young people and have a creative approach which inspires exceptional tutoring practice and innovation. Candidates must have significant tutoring experience and excellent communication skills and will be confident managing tutoring provision across both faculties.

The ideal candidate would be able to contribute to teaching in either media and/or graphics although we will consider other subject areas within the curriculum areas of these faculties. The successful candidate will be based in the Centre for Creative Industries in the heart of Exeter City Centre close to Exeter Central railway station. The faculties boast industry standard delivery spaces including a TV Studio, recording studios, radio station and photography studios. The Centre for Creative Industries also houses a BBC Studio and staff and students have opportunities to work with BBC team members to provide a direct line of sight to industry. We actively support staff with professional development opportunities to continuously develop best practice.
