Are you currently seeking a new challenge within Theatres? An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for Degree educated Nurses.

We are looking for motivated and committed individuals to advance their knowledge and practice, and really make a difference.

Our focus is on clinical excellence and patient safety so we’ll give you all the support and training you need.

Anaesthetic Practitioners are instrumental to the smooth running of theatres and are key to providing a warm and comforting atmosphere for surgical patients.

Initial employment will be in a supernumerary capacity until qualification is achieved.

Upon completion of training and qualification you will provide skilled assistance to Anaesthetists for a variety of anaesthetic interventions across a multitude of specialities. The knowledge and skills gained will also enable the practitioner to provide advanced airway assistance and resuscitation when required outside of the theatre department.

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 695,000 people.

Our vision is ’great healthcare from great people’. Everything we do is guided by our values: ‘People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’.

We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called ‘We care’. It’s about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We’re looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.

If you are considering applying for any vacancy with East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) please ensure you are comfortable being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and that you understand that we are treating COVID-19 positive patients within our hospital. Unless you are informed in writing that your post does not require full vaccination, it will be a condition of your employment that you are and remain fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless you have medical exemption. Your commitment will help us to put the safety and care of our patients first, as well as helping us to protect you and your colleagues.
