IconInc - The Ascent is a luxury student accommodation provider in the centre of Liverpool. All our apartments feature modern décor to impress, state-of-the-art appliances, dynamic storage space, en-suite bathrooms and amazing communal areas over several floors.

We are looking for a small team of experienced Painters and Decorators who are able to work independently or within a small team.

Responsibilities

· Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.

· Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material

· Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools

· Apply varnish and other finishes

· Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

Requirements

· 3+ years’ experience as a painter

· Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them

· Solid knowledge of commercial painting techniques

· Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)

· Good basic math skills

· Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on footstools etc.

· Conscientious with great attention to detail

Attention to detail is essential as we take pride in our delivery of works and some properties are classed as 5+ star living.

We are looking for individuals to work flexible during the student summer change over period, especially the last week of June, July and August.
