Orbital Internet Group is a ISP offering a wide spectrum of internet services. Hosting thousands of business websites for Companies around the world, Orbital Net has also rapidly built one of the UK’s most sophisticated Wimax networks, providing thousands of end user’s with ultra fast internet access. Orbital Net are now looking to employ a Wireless Field Engineer to help expand and maintain our increasing network.

The right candidate will be based from home with periodical visits to Head Office in Canterbury. The job is primarily field based and will involve travelling nationwide predominately in Devon. This means a clean driving license is essential, preferably the ideal candidate would have the C1 part of your license as you will be required to drive our Cherry Picker.

The ideal candidate will be organised, motivated, articulate, and proactive, with strong attention to detail. The willingness to learn new things and embrace technologies used within the company will greatly help with progression, complemented by the ability to complete tasks under minimal supervision. Previous experience working for other telecommunication companies or satellite based installers would be advantageous but not essential. Your job role will include both installations and maintenance at residential properties and also commercial premises.

Essential Skills should include:

Confident Working at Heights
Experience Working with Ladders
Experience of using Safety Equipment
Good Knowledge of using PC/Laptop Software
Experience mounting aerials, poles and brackets (and the tools required to do so)

As the job role is completely customer facing, you will be required to present a friendly, helpful, positive attitude at all times. You will also be required to dress appropriately, and will be provided with company branded attire. Full training will be provided. All tools and equipment will also be provided.

Any experience with wireless technologies and the radio spectrum would be advantageous but is in no way essential.

Company Van will be provided on completion of trial period.
