The Job

The Company

An expanding international M&E consultancy who focuses on low energy designs is looking for a Sustainability Engineer/IES Modeler within Building Services to join their Sustainability & Climate Change team.
Company operates from 5 offices in the UK including London and Guildford, and also they have few offices abroad (Middle East and Asia). They specialize within variety of projects including commercial, Infrastructure, data centres, pharmaceutical and they are looking for a sustainability consultant/ IES Modeller to join their building services team.
It’s a great opportunity for any candidate who are based in London, Surrey, Newcastle of Oxford.

The Role

  • Good technical knowledge of Sustainability in the building services environment
  • Good knowledge on the IES required for: LEED, BREEAM, EPC ratings, planning applications etc.
  • Undertake IES thermal modelling for the sustainability team relating to Part L Compliance & Energy Performance Certificates
  • CIBSE Heating and Cooling Loads
  • Thermal Comfort & Daylighting Assessments
  • Issuing of RFIs, reports, calculations, technical reports, presentations, method statements and action list
  • Assisting with BREEAM/LEED/WELL/NABERS/RIBA Green overlay related bid and tender preparation and co-ordination
  • Flexibility to assist our engineers in meeting business/project deadlines

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educated in degree level in Building Services engineering/environmental discipline
  • Qualified Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) – desirable
  • Know IES software to model geometry building, HVAC systems and model inputs
  • General understanding of Building Services design.
  • Good knowledge of BREEAM/LEED
