Peter Fisk Associates https://pfagroup.eu/ is a well-respected consultancy specialising in assessment of hazards and risks of substances, usually for regulatory purposes.

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Toxicologist within our Toxicology Team. The role is a desk-based position involving the review and interpretation of toxicological and genetic toxicity data generated to comply with EU, UK and global regulation of industrial chemicals, biocidal products, professional and consumer products.

You will contribute at a technical level to multi-disciplinary teams working in projects relating to regulation of chemicals and biocidal products, including undertaking the role of Study Monitor for new studies being performed at external laboratories on behalf of our clients. The role does not include any line management responsibilities but could involve some project management responsibilities as well as interaction with clients. The ideal candidate will therefore be organised, flexible and have effective communication skills.

The position is suitable for applicants holding a minimum MSc in Toxicology or a related discipline and around 5 years’ experience - preferably working within a Contract Research Organisation or industrial toxicology department and with detailed knowledge of OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals.

Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time working (minimum 22.5 hours per week) are possible for this role, initially working from your home in the UK (due to Covid-19 restrictions). When restrictions are lifted, either continuing to work from home or relocation to our offices near Canterbury will be possible. There will also be opportunities to travel to our offices in Brussels, Belgium.

Availability to start in September 2021 will be a significant advantage. Remuneration packages are competitive with industry norms, dependent on experience.
