We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer (site cover) to join our Greater London Mobile Maintenance Engineering team. The mobile team in London supports reactive and PPM maintenance activities across all the sites we currently operate ranging from schools and hospitals to major Government buildings across Greater London and the South East.

Key activities:

  • Reporting to the Mobile Supervisor
  • Mobile role with travel across sites/contracts in London and surrounding areas
  • Carry out planned & reactive maintenance in line with the contract service delivery plan for Gas safe and mechanical systems & associated equipment across the company profile.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and produce technical reports
  • To investigate, troubleshoot and rectify defects in all systems and associated plant/components, commissioning subcontractors where necessary
  • Ability to participate in the Appointed Persons role for an identified discipline and / or trained in the role of AP / RP for site systems.
  • To ensure all statutory documentation is completed and kept up to date at all times
  • Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with participation in the call out rota

Skills, qualifications & experience:

  • Qualified to C&G level 2, or equivalent, in one or more discipline and to a competent standard under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998; a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience is also essential
  • Must have previous combustion and mechanical experience
  • Must have understanding and experience in compliance
  • A proactive, flexible, can-do approach
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including IT proficiency
  • Able to obtain DBS and Government Security clearance
  • Must hold valid full driving license
