Conteúdo do emprego
Goldsmiths, University of London is a world-leading centre of educational excellence where ground-breaking research meets innovative teaching and thinking. We’re looking for inspiring and talented people to help build on our global reputation while also growing personally in a true learning organisation.
The Department of Music is one of the largest and most vibrant in the UK, with over 300 students across three undergraduate programmes (Music, Popular Music and Electronic Music, Computing and Technology), and over 100 students on Masters and PhD programmes. The Department leads creative practice research, combining theoretical areas – musicology of various kinds, analysis and ethnomusicology – with composition, performance, and sonic arts.
As an experienced senior HE administrator, you will support the two Heads of Department by managing departmental student experience support and undergraduate and postgraduate programme administration including assessment work, module planning and acting as Secretary to the Exam Boards. You will also support the Department Learning and Teaching Committees and Staff-Student Forum as well as assisting with staff workload planning and allocation of duties.
This role would suit an experienced HE administrator who wishes to expand their portfolio of skills and experience in a performance and creative practice-based department. We ideally expect applications from staff currently at grade 6 or 7, however we are also willing to consider applications from staff at other grades who can demonstrate that they meet the criteria from related employment and qualifications. Secondment or acting-up opportunities will also be considered.
