The opportunity

Reporting to the security controller and working closely with the security vetting team to carrying out document control both electronic and manual. To learn security vetting including the BPSS review and new candidate processes to government standards, good organisation skills, good SharePoint knowledge, working with multi email boxes, trackers, working logs, spreadsheet, written and verbal correspondence and well as meeting candidates to process their security vetting applications.

Required to be within an easy commute to our Moorgate London office for in-office training and working

The successful applicate with being required to complete the BPSS (Baseline Personal Security Standard) process as soon as possible

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the document control - electronic and manual.

  • Supporting the BSSP process, both candidates and the security vetting team.

  • Writing and verbal communications with candidates, clients and referees.

  • Complying with GDPR.

  • Meeting candidates to check document’s, including passports and other ID documents.

  • Providing monthly reporting to the project.

  • Carrying our security checks in line with government standards for BPSS which includes checking employment and residential history.

  • Providing onsite training of the department processes/procedures.

About you

You have a GCSE qualification which includes English and Maths subjects. You will have office administrator and document control management/experiences. You are digitally savvy in using MS Excel, Word and with knowledge of SharePoint. You have knowledge of National Security Vetting for government, military and other agencies. You have GDPR/data protection, Freedom of Information and other relevant legislation. You can build lasting relationships and will provide support to multi-disciplinary teams. You will have experience of working in similar project/programme organisations or in other organisations of similar complexity and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
